Under general direction of the directors of the Intel Science and Technology Center for Social Computing (ISTC) and the Institute for Money, Technology and Financial Inclusion (IMTFI), incumbent is responsible for promoting ISTC and IMTFI in its current space, which includes academia, industry, design, development, non-profit and philanthropic circles. The successful applicant will surface, develop and publish compelling stories based on the ISTC and IMTFI's work. This requires the writing, editing, proofreading and production of assigned ISTC and IMTFI publications, electronic communications, collateral materials, and web management. It also entails coordination with various campus stakeholders and outside vendors to ensure accurate and timely content and delivery of assigned projects. Incumbent will work as a team member in all aspects of communications development and production. Incumbent will have a demonstrated capacity to take complex material and boil it down into core, compelling messages for ISTC and IMTFI stakeholders, amplifying ISTC and IMTFI's work and enhancing their brand internally and externally.
Incumbent will help others understand what ISTC and IMTFI do, why they do it, and why it is relevant to our stakeholders, and must possess exceptional communication, writing and design skills. Incumbent must be organized and possess ability to handle numerous responsibilities, maintain professionalism in all aspects of duties and interactions with researchers, personnel, staff, and community members in order to meet institute milestones and objectives.
Salary: Range $3,533.33 - $4,416.00
Work Schedule: 8-5, M-F
Continued employment for this position is dependent on renewal of grant funding. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to meet deadlines and for events and institute objectives.
