The Institute for Money, Technology, & Financial Inclusion (IMTFI) in the Department of Anthropology is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Specialist. The Assistant Specialist will conduct research on the importance of cash in the European payments landscape and produce a white paper synthesizing findings from an anthropological and interdisciplinary perspective.

Prior publication history is required. Salary and rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements: The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Anthropology with specialization in economic anthropology by the start of the appointment. Candidates should also have a research profile that relates to this initiative; e.g. knowledge of European political and economic institutions as they relate to cash and monetary systems.

The appointment could begin as early as May 28th, 2018.
